How chemical-free limescale protection worksThe filter cartridge contains high-quality ceramic granules with a specially coded surface, inspired by natural processes in mussels and corals.When tap water flows through the filter, a process of heterogeneous catalysis is triggered.
Within seconds, tiny “seedcrystals” (measuring just a few ten-thousandths of a millimeter) form. These crystals bind the calcium dissolved in the water and prevent it from adhering to surfaces or forming deposits.The result: limescale-free pipes, appliances, and surfaces, without altering the natural composition of the water.

Application & Service Life

• Service life of the catalyst granules: approx. 3–5 years (depending on water quality and usage)
• Recommended pre-filtration: To extend service life and increase efficiency, we recommend a MAUNAWAI® basic filter and, optionally, the MAUNAWAI® intensive filter as a pre-stage.
• Note: In the case of heavily contaminated water, the granulate surface may become clogged, requiring earlier replacement.
