Why is iron removal important?High levels of iron and manganese in the water can cause a variety of problems:

Effective filtration without chemicalsThe iron cartridge works on the principle of catalytic oxidation.
This process precipitates dissolved iron from the water and binds it securely, so that it is subsequently retained. At the same time, the cartridge also reduces manganese and rust particles—without any chemical additives.

For a longer service life, we recommend installing a MAUNAWAI® pre-filter upstream of the iron cartridge to remove coarse particles first.

Requirements for optimal iron removalTo ensure the iron cartridge can achieve maximum effectiveness, the following water parameters should be met:

• pH value: > 6.8
• Manganese: max. 0.1 mg/l
• Silicates: max. 100 mg/l

Performance & CapacityPerformance depends on the iron content of the water:

• 1 mg/l iron: approx. 150,000 liters of water can be filtered
• 2 mg/L iron: approx. 75,000 liters of water can be filtered
• 3 mg/l iron: approx. 50,000 liters of water can be filtered
