How PiPrime works: like a water tap in your home

In nature, water flows through layers of rock, where it is filtered, enriched with minerals and regains its natural structure. The PiPrime Gravity Filter replicates this exact process in a system that you can simply place on your kitchen worktop.

The principle is very simple: you pour tap water into the upper chamber. Gravity then draws it through the natural filter media — without any electricity, pumps or chemicals. As it passes through 21 different types of mineral ceramics, the water is filtered and revitalised layer by layer.
The result collects in the lower reservoir, made from hand-blown glass — ready whenever you need it. Water that tastes as fresh as if it came from a mountain spring.

The K8's calcium filter pads use heterogeneous catalysis, a principle inspired by mussels and corals. This process creates tiny "seed crystals" that bind to and release dissolved calcium. The result: calcium no longer deposits on surfaces, but the valuable minerals calcium and magnesium remain in your water.

Reverse osmosis systems remove everything from the water, including valuable minerals. The result is “empty” water that your body has a hard time utilizing. The PiPrime works differently: It filters out contaminants while retaining natural minerals and revitalizes the water using PI technology. This gives you spring-water-quality water: vibrant, mineral-rich, and delicious. No electricity, no wastewater, no waste.

Yes! In a test conducted by the accredited Potsdam Water and Environment Laboratory, over 99.99% of all ten PFAS substances tested were removed; they were no longer detectable after filtration. This includes the four most critical compounds: PFOA, PFOS, PFHxS, and PFNA.

The K8 cartridge features additional chemical-free limescale protection technology: Special ceramic granules prevent limescale buildup without stripping minerals from your water.
