Effective reduction of dissolved iron in water

The MAUNAWAI® PiTec iron filter reliably removes dissolved iron, manganese, and rust from the water.
 With high-quality filter cartridges for the PiTec filter system, unpleasant iron odors and metallic tastes are effectively reduced—for clean, clear water in the home and garden.

Typical usage volumes (under consistent ideal conditions)
1 mg/l iron → approx. 75,000 liters2 mg/l iron → approx. 50,000 liters3 mg/l iron → approx. 20,000 liters
 Maximum values of the incoming water for iron removal

• pH value: ≥ 6.8
• Manganese: max. 0.1 mg/L

For higher manganese levels, we recommend using the MAUNAWAI® manganese filter as well.

• Max. flow rate at 4 bar:
  • PiTec = approx. 8 l/min
• Minimum operating pressure: approx. 2 bar
• Optimal operating pressure: 3–4 bar
• Operating range: 1–40 °C
• Note: Protect from frost

Recommendation

To extend the service life of the de-icing cartridge, we recommend installing a pre-filter.
This will trap coarse sediments that could impair the cartridge’s performance.
