MAUNAWAI® Arsenic Filter Cartridge – Effective Removal of Arsenic from Drinking Water

Arsenic is a natural component of many rocks and can enter groundwater through geological processes. In dissolved form – usually as arsenate or arsenite – it
poses a health risk and can be harmful even at very low concentrations.
The MAUNAWAI® arsenic filter cartridge was specially developed to reliably remove these contaminants from your water—selectively, effectively, and without chemical additives.

Ideal for private homes, well systems, and households with elevated arsenic levels in drinking water.

Why is arsenic filtration so important?Arsenic can cause various long-term health problems, including nervous system disorders, skin changes, or an increased risk of cancer.
The legal limit is currently 10 µg/L, and a further reduction is currently under discussion.
With our arsenic filter cartridge, you stay on the safe side—even with sensitive limits.

Innovative adsorption technology – effective and selectiveThe MAUNAWAI® arsenic cartridge uses granulated iron hydroxide, which selectively binds arsenic to its surface (adsorption). Both arsenate
and arsenite are effectively removed without altering other natural components of the water.
The water retains its natural composition and remains unchanged in taste.

• No release of substances into the water – the filter material does not release any foreign substances.
•  Selective removal – only arsenic is bound; other minerals are retained.
• Easy to use – no regeneration required, disposable cartridge.

Requirements for optimal arsenic removalTo ensure the filter operates efficiently, the following water parameters should be maintained:

• pH value: ≤ 7.5
• Arsenic: ≤ 0.015 mg/l (15 µg/l)
• Phosphate: ≤ 0.1 mg/L
• Vanadium: ≤ 0.01 mg/L
• Silicate: ≤ 20 mg/L

With an arsenic concentration of 10 µg/L, up to 80,000 liters of water can be treated.
